Well of course I have - sort of. My latest book, Jack's Tale took rather longer than I anticipated - then there was the virtual book tour and NaNoWrMo - and then there was... See, I allowed writing to dominate my every waking moment - bad news really- except of course I was enjoying myself very much:)
I am determined not to repeat the same mistakes in this coming year so have been doing what I dislike the most, a certain amount of housekeeping. Around the actual house certainly, it more than needed it, but more so on this old machine of mine which was groaning under the weight of words I had tossed in. Now the files are all in suitably named folders and zipped. Unnecessary bits have gone sliding down the rubbish chute and suddenly the machine begins to breathe again - not for long as I have downloaded lovely new software to delight my life! (I will be blogging about it in the new year on my brand new blog site over at Alberta Ross. )
I have sorted my blogs out into better order - this one remains the same - my life and interests - but alberta's sefuty chronicles was becoming clogged up with everything to do with writing not just my publications and research. So the brand new, very pretty, site now is going to handle writing, blog-hops and challenges except of course the A-Z challenge in April which belongs right here. I had a blog for books and reading which was even more neglected than here and that now has been given a new lease of life alberta reads - this blog is all about what I read, influences of books over 6 decades of reading - similar in style and content to here - a hodge pot of memories, connections, travel and modern day life - just wrapped up in book covers.
I have to update kissafrog and tidy up a bit but I can see the light through dusty windows now. So now I am almost straight, with clear lines of difference, I hope to blog on a more regular basis (please do not hold your breath!) starting in the shining new year where hopefully I will 'get a life'
