It is proving harder than I thought to get back into the routine - just too many cosy mornings under the duvert! However I have begun. Exercise started - healthier eating started - oh but I miss the mince pies.
What made me smile this week well much but I'm only allowed to mention three.
1) Standing by the window one morning I watched weather gathering force - the darkest charcol mingled with sooty black, the cloud rose high above the tree tops. For a moment I scowled as I was due out within the next few minutes and would bound to be drenched. Then the sun came out from behind me shining on the hazel trees, which were now sandwiched between dark and light. The hundreds of hazel catkins lit up resembling freshly buffered peices of gold - magic:)
2) after months of lurking, hiding and procasination I created my first art journal page. It took many hours, is not the work of any kind of genius but oh I liked the result:)
3) This morning the Living History Group I host, here at home, met for the first time this year. It was so great to see everyone again, catch up on festive news. As usual a good range of memories shared, it seemed steam trains were much in evidence! It is hard to believe I have been running this group for nearly nine years. One of my favourite groups, everyone has had such interesting lives. They all thought they had nothing to contribute when I dragooned them into coming but still they come with smiles and more memories to share. It was a good morning:)
I hope everyone has had occasion to smile:)
