Three thing Thursday is the brainchild of nerd in the brain. To note each week three of the things which have made me smile. Difficult to choose as so much does:)
I have missed the whole of May on Three Thing Thursday due to Internet problems - spring has come and gone and we are now in the summer and at last there is some warmth coming to us:)
The highlight of May, for me, was going to a young friend's wedding - I have known her well since she was two and a half - she was beautiful and so was the wedding. I even managed to drive myself there and back a good indication of how my health and energy is returning, albeit so slowly:)
So many things to make one smile and feel it’s not such a bad life. So many things to make one forget - or put to one side the nasty or depressing side of life. So as I am still trying to catch up on my month with no access to sites or e-mail! This will be short this week.
1) Best this week was an unexpected dinner out with a friend. An evening of intelligent conversation and laughter rates very high on my list of contented moments.
2) My garden is now in it’s second year of being changed from vegetable to decorative and is blooming better than I expected. New plants have gone in. Two beds are now planted up with flowers a mixture of wild and cottage garden plants. The two raspberry beds will have to wait till the autumn now, as they are forming fruit. The large pots and containers are being renovated and I am having such fun in the doing.
3) Since Older Cat died last year there has been a steady increase in bird life in the garden. Younger Cat will only go outdoors if I go with her. So the birds now come right up to the windows to feed on the seed heads and insects on the flowers below. I have spotted three newcomer varieties this last week(newcomers to my patch anyway).
Birds are lovely time wasters, I just stand or sit and gawk at them and their antics. Blowed if I can work out what they are eating sometimes, must be microscopic or my eyes are worse than I thought:)Some days the bird songs are wonderful, when they forget I am there and stop yelling warnings at each other!:)
I hope you all have a happy week, with many smiles and small excitments:)
